Spiritually Unemployed

Spiritually unemployed – when your soul has the freedom to live outside of work

To be spiritually unemployed is to detach from work and maintain a healthy balance in your life. We live in a culture that constantly pushes for productivity, and it can be easy to forget that you are more than your job. The pressure to define ourselves by our careers can leave us burnt out or feeling misaligned, like something isn’t quite right. By embracing spiritual unemployment, you can make the conscious decision to loosen the grip work has on your identity.

There is no need to quit your job to become spiritually unemployed, you just need to quit the mindset that your worth is tied to your work. Set clear boundaries with your work hours, be flexible, and build a life that is balanced. This could be working from home on Fridays or working extra-hard during the week to take an extra-long weekend. Remember that you’re allowed to be a whole person with purpose outside of work.

Ultimately, to be spiritually unemployed is to put yourself first. You are not a renewable resource, try to slow down and replenish your energy before it runs out.
